I have to change the mission statement of the food blog now that I live in Nashville. At the heart of it all, this is where I post pictures of food I eat and the places I go to for such morsels. It’s also where my thoughts and opinions about the food I eat and food in general are laid out for all the Internet to see. But there’s also more than that. Originally, I wanted to dedicate the site to showing Fresno that there’s more to dining out here other than chains like CPK, PF Chang’s, and Cheesecake Factory. However, now that I’m living in Nashville, I also need to do something similar here. While the city has no dearth of original restaurants, I’m still looking for good food that is abundant in flavor, and not pretentiousness. So you may call me a food nerd, a food snob, or maybe even a hater, but deep down, I’m still just a fat kid who loves to eat. And like kids, I try to get cheap food since I’m poor (I’m a student), even though I will throw down a Benjamin once in a blue moon for a tasty meal.
The fatty has grown up in a family involved in the restaurant business for over a decade. The fatty grew up in Fresno, and has lived in Los Angeles for a number of years. When bored with Fresno, the fatty likes to go to LA for the day just to eat.

Hi, can I put a link from my site to yours? I love your site.
sure thing. thanks for reading!
Next time you are in that area, there is a great middle eastern restaurant in a strip mall on Thompson Lane, just past Nolensville Rd. Has the uninspired name “House of Kabob”, but it is well worth leaving the university area for.
I’ll even drive over from East Nashville for the soup alone.
BriarCat:
Funny that you mention House of Kabob–I was just there last night! Definitely good, but it is quite the drive.
If you’re ever on the east side of the river and want to try the best southern food ever wasted on a styrofoam clamshell, give Bailey and Cato a try.
